Meet the Owner

Today, Grant remains hands-on in the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring every hamper is packed with the same care, quality, and attention to detail that Scottish Hampers has been known for since 1999.

Our Scottish Producers

Meet eleven of the producers and brands featured in our range, from Highland charcuterie and island baking to smoked salmon, chocolate and single malt whisky. Open a profile to discover their story and the flavours they bring to our hampers.

Contents vary by hamper. Scottish produce sits at the heart of our selection, alongside accompaniments from elsewhere. Check each product listing for current contents and availability.

Great Glen CharcuterieSpean Bridge · Scottish Highlands
Jan Jacob and Anja Baak of Great Glen Charcuterie

Highland ingredients. A personal craft.

Jan Jacob and Anja Baak moved from the Netherlands to the Scottish Highlands, where local wild venison inspired a new family business.

Their first experiments used a hand-built garden smoker. Today, Great Glen makes specialist charcuterie in Spean Bridge, bringing a distinctive Highland character to the sharing board.

For our hampers, these savoury flavours sit beautifully alongside Scottish cheese, oatcakes and chutney.

Our pork and venison salami combines both meats; it is a different product from Great Glen’s pure venison specialities.

In our range

Pork & venison salami · Venison chorizo

Enjoy with

Scottish cheese, oatcakes and chutney.

Highland Fine CheesesTain · Scottish Highlands
Rory Stone tasting cheese at Highland Fine Cheeses

Cheese with Highland character.

At Blarliath Farm in Tain, the Stone family’s cheesemaking tradition continues with Rory Stone, who joined the business in 1994.

The range brings traditional Scottish styles together with blue, brie and washed-rind cheeses. Each has its own character, from the oatmeal-coated richness of Caboc to the distinctive bite of Strathdon Blue.

We love the variety they bring to a Scottish cheeseboard: familiar favourites and something new to discover.

In our range

Strathdon Blue · Caboc · Black Crowdie · Minger

Enjoy with

Oatcakes, savoury biscuits and a favourite chutney.

Island BakeryTobermory · Isle Of Mull
Island Bakery biscuits with the brand’s island illustration

A little taste of island life.

Joe and Dawn Reade began baking bread in a converted Tobermory garage in 1994. Their organic biscuit business followed in 2001, taking a taste of Mull beyond the island.

Their purpose-built bakery uses locally generated renewable energy: wind and water for electricity, and wood to heat the ovens.

From sweet biscuits with afternoon tea to savoury nibbles on a cheeseboard, Island Bakery adds a delicious island-made touch to a gift.

In our range

Lemon Melts · Shortbread · Onion & thyme cheese biscuits

Enjoy with

A pot of tea, or a generous Scottish cheeseboard.

Alex Dalgetty & SonsGalashiels · Scottish Borders
Wrapped Scotch Black Bun from Alex Dalgetty and Sons

Alex Dalgetty & Sons brings five generations of family baking to our selection. Based in the Scottish Borders, the bakery is known for traditional recipes, including Selkirk bannock, shortbread and Scotch black bun. Its story gives a delicious introduction to a part of Scotland with a baking heritage of its own.

Our Scotch Black Bun is a rich fruit bake enclosed in pastry, with sultanas and currants at its heart. Traditionally associated with Hogmanay, it is also a lovely choice for anyone who enjoys Scottish baking throughout the year. Slice it to share over tea, or add it to a hamper for someone who appreciates a traditional favourite.

Mrs Tilly’sLarbert · Central Scotland
Mrs Tilly’s Scottish tablet with a cup of tea

A sweet story close to home.

Mrs Tilly’s began as a family business in Tillicoultry in 1997, after customers asked the Paterson family for traditional Scottish confectionery.

Now based in Larbert, close to our own Grangemouth home, the business is run by two generations of the family.

Crumbly tablet, smooth fudge and coconut-covered macaroon bring familiar Scottish flavours to our sweet selections: a little thank-you, an afternoon treat or the finishing touch to a larger hamper.

In our range

Scottish tablet gift boxes · Fudge gift boxes · Macaroon bars

Enjoy with

Tea, coffee and a moment to yourself.

Wooleys of ArranBrodick · Isle Of Arran
Wooleys of Arran baker carrying a sack of ingredients in the bakery

Island baking. Family tradition.

Overlooking Brodick Bay, Wooleys has been run by the Keir family since the 1980s. Its oatcakes are made to a closely guarded family recipe, with the character of a traditional island bakery.

Handcrafted oatcakes sit alongside breads, pies, rolls and sweet bakes, giving locals and visitors plenty to enjoy.

For a hamper, we love the versatility of their oatcakes and Oaties: just as welcome beside a Scottish cheese as they are with a quiet cup of tea.

In our range

Traditional oatcakes · Original Oaties · Punchy Ginger Rounds

Enjoy with

Scottish cheese, chutney or your favourite brew.

Murdoch AllanNorth East Scotland · Family bakers
Murdoch Allan bakery emblem with its 1991 founding date

Baking with a sense of place.

Murdoch Allan’s story spans three generations of family bakers. The current business began in 1991, with a first shop in Fraserburgh; Paul Allan joined as an apprentice after college.

From Fraserburgh and Strichen to Hatton, the business grew around the baking traditions of the North East.

Its Aberdeen butteries, also known as rowies, are a local favourite. Alongside the traditional version, the bakery makes well-fired and miniature butteries: familiar food with plenty of character.

Producer specialities

Enjoy with

A warming cup of tea and a favourite jam.

BrodiesEdinburgh Heritage · Tea & Coffee Since 1867
Brodies tea being poured into a glass cup

A tradition worth taking time over.

Brodies began in 1867, when three Scottish tea merchants formed Brodie, Melrose, Drysdale & Co. More than 150 years later, that Edinburgh heritage still shapes its tea and coffee.

The business moved to purpose-built premises in Musselburgh in 2002, continuing its craft of blending tea and roasting coffee.

Our selections bring that story to the table through distinctive coffee and traditional sweet treats, from Scotland Street coffee to whisky cake and shortbread.

In our range

Scotland Street coffee · Single Malt Whisky Cake · Traditional shortbread

Enjoy with

A freshly brewed pot and something sweet.

John Ross Jr.Aberdeen · Traditional Scottish Smoked Salmon
John Ross Jr. traditional Scottish smoked salmon with serving suggestions

Time, smoke and skilled hands.

At John Ross, traditional preparation is central to the flavour. Brick kilns dating back to 1857 are part of a process that gives the salmon time to develop its distinctive character.

Fish are prepared by hand, then cold-smoked over wood chippings using methods passed down through generations.

It is a natural centrepiece for a generous Scottish gift: delicate slices for an easy lunch, a celebratory breakfast or a platter to share with family and friends.

In our range

Traditional Scottish smoked salmon

Enjoy with

Oatcakes, lemon and a little crème fraîche.

COCO ChocolatierEdinburgh · Chocolate, Art & Imagination
COCO dark chocolate in an artist-designed wrapper

Creativity in every wrapper.

COCO brings together chocolate and contemporary art, with independent artists designing the distinctive wrappers.

The chocolate-making journey starts at origin before continuing in Edinburgh. That approach aims to retain more value in cocoa-growing economies, while the Scottish team transforms the chocolate into its finished creations.

From orange milk chocolate to Isle of Skye sea salt, these treats are full of flavour and visual character: a colourful finishing touch to a thoughtful gift.

In our range

Orange milk chocolate · Isle of Skye sea salt milk chocolate

Enjoy with

Coffee, good company and a little time to savour.

The MacallanScotland · Single malt whisky
The Macallan 18 Prestige Scottish Hamper with whisky, food and a wicker basket

The Macallan adds a celebrated single malt whisky name to our food and drink selection. With a history dating to 1824, its story centres on the relationship between oak, spirit and time. Our range includes Double Cask and Sherry Oak expressions, offering different choices for the whisky enthusiast.

For a milestone birthday, retirement or a special thank-you, a whisky hamper brings the bottle together with food to enjoy. The Macallan 18 Prestige Scottish Hamper is one example from our collection. Delivery & Christmas orders

If I order a Christmas hamper now, when will it be dispatched?

If you choose a future delivery date, we plan dispatch around that date; your hamper is not sent immediately just because you have placed the order. Select your preferred date from the options available at checkout when ordering our Christmas hampers.

We aim to meet your preferred date, but it is not guaranteed. Arrival can occasionally be a day early or 1–2 days late, particularly during busy periods or courier disruption.

Can I choose a preferred delivery date?

Yes. Choose an available preferred delivery date at checkout. We aim to deliver on that date, but courier delays, busy periods and adverse weather can affect arrival. Your order may arrive a day early or up to 1–2 days after your chosen date.

Allow extra time for special occasions. If timing is particularly important, contact our team before ordering.

Is my order confirmation also my dispatch confirmation?

No. Your order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order; it does not mean your hamper has been dispatched. This is especially important when you have selected a future date for Christmas or another occasion.

You will receive dispatch and tracking information once your order is on its way. If you are unsure about an existing order, contact our team with your order number.

How much does hamper delivery cost?

Standard Delivery is £6.95 and Express Delivery is £10.95. Highlands, islands, Northern Ireland, Saturday and timed services have separate charges and availability. Selected hampers qualify for free standard UK delivery where offered at checkout. The final charge depends on your items, delivery address and chosen service.

Check our delivery policy for the full list of services and prices, then select the appropriate service for the recipient’s address at checkout.

Is next-working-day hamper delivery available?

Yes. Express Delivery offers a next-working-day service for eligible addresses, subject to stock availability and dispatch. Standard Delivery usually takes 1–3 working days.

Bank holidays and public holidays are excluded. Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland services take longer; Northern Ireland Express is not a next-working-day guarantee. See our delivery policy for regional timescales.

What is your dispatch cut-off?

We aim to dispatch orders placed before 7:00am on the same working day, subject to stock availability and your selected delivery date. An order with a future preferred date is scheduled around that date.

Same-day dispatch does not mean same-day delivery. Check our delivery policy for the delivery service and transit time that apply to your address.

Where in the UK do you deliver Scottish hampers?

We deliver within the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and UK islands, subject to availability for the delivery address.

Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland deliveries can take 1–5 working days. Regional charges apply; check the recipient’s full postcode against our delivery policy before ordering.

Do you deliver to the Republic of Ireland, the EU or overseas?

No. Scottish Hampers currently delivers within the UK only. We do not deliver to the Republic of Ireland, other EU countries, the USA or other international destinations.

Northern Ireland is covered by our UK delivery services and has its own charges and timescales. See our delivery policy for details.

How do I track my hamper delivery?

You will receive tracking details once your hamper has been dispatched. Use the courier’s tracking updates to follow its progress.

If you have only received an order confirmation, your hamper may still be awaiting its planned dispatch date. For help with tracking or a delivery concern, contact our team with your order number.

Is Saturday or timed delivery available?

Saturday and timed delivery services are available for eligible UK mainland addresses. Availability and charges depend on the service and destination.

Check the options at checkout and our delivery policy before ordering. Courier working days are normally Monday to Friday unless you have selected an available Saturday service.

What if my hamper is delayed or the recipient is out?

Check the courier’s tracking updates and contact our team with your order number if you need help. For chilled gifts, ask us before arranging a redirection or unattended delivery.

Choosing your hamper

What makes your luxury Scottish hampers distinctive?

Our family business has specialised in food gifting since 1999. We bring together Scottish flavours and carefully chosen accompaniments, then hand-pack each gift in Scotland. Explore our luxury Scottish hampers and check each listing for its contents and presentation.

Which Scottish producers feature in your hampers?

Our range features makers such as Great Glen Charcuterie, Highland Fine Cheeses, Island Bakery, Mrs Tilly’s, Alex Dalgetty & Sons and COCO Chocolatier. Contents vary between hampers. Scottish produce is central to the range, with some accompaniments sourced elsewhere. Meet our Scottish producers to learn more.

Do you offer luxury Scottish gifts for birthdays and anniversaries?

Yes. Our food and drink gifts suit birthdays, anniversaries, thank-yous and other celebrations. Choose around the recipient’s tastes: something sweet, a savoury selection or a hamper to share. Browse our birthday hampers or anniversary gifts, and add a personal message.

How do I choose a hamper within my budget?

Compare the listed contents, sizes and presentation options before choosing your gift. Check the price of your selected option and allow for delivery at checkout. Browse the gift hamper range or build your own selection. For business gifts, tell us whether your budget needs to include delivery and branding.

What is included in an afternoon tea hamper?

The contents depend on the hamper you select. Our afternoon tea collection offers different combinations of tea, biscuits, baking and treats. Read the individual contents list before ordering, particularly if you want scones, cream or a gift for more than one person.

Personalising your gift

Can I create my own Scottish food hamper?

Yes. Use Create Your Own Hamper to choose from the food, drink and presentation options currently available. Pick a selection around the recipient’s favourite flavours, review the total and add a gift message. For a specific product or dietary requirement, contact our team before ordering.

Can I send a hamper directly to the recipient?

Yes. Enter the recipient’s address as the delivery address when ordering, and check the postcode carefully. Include your name in the gift message so they know who sent it. If the gift contains chilled food, arrange for someone to receive and unpack it promptly.

Can I include a personalised gift message?

Yes. Add your message when placing your order, including the sender’s name if you would like the recipient to know who it is from. Check the spelling and wording before completing checkout. If you need help with a message on an existing order, contact our team.

Food & dietary requirements

Do you offer alcohol-free hampers?

Yes. Browse our alcohol-free hampers for food gifts without alcoholic drinks. If you need to avoid alcohol in food ingredients too, check the individual products and ask us before ordering. Dietary suitability depends on the complete contents of the chosen hamper.

Can you help with vegetarian, vegan or allergy requirements?

Please tell us the exact requirements before ordering so we can help you check suitable options. Review each product’s ingredients and allergen information; if anything is unclear or missing, contact our team. An alcohol-free hamper is not automatically vegetarian, vegan or suitable for a particular allergy.

How are cheese and other chilled foods packed?

Fresh food travels in insulated boxes with foil lining and cooling packs. Unpack promptly and follow each product’s storage directions. Explore our cheese hampers.

How long will the food in my hamper last?

Shelf life varies by product. Follow the dates, storage directions and after-opening instructions on each label. If you are buying well ahead of an occasion, contact our team about the specific hamper before ordering. A hamper containing fresh food needs different planning from a selection of biscuits and confectionery.

Corporate & bulk orders

Can I order Scottish hampers for staff or clients?

Yes. We help businesses choose ready-made gifts and plan bespoke orders for staff, clients and events. Send your quantity, budget and preferred arrival date to our corporate gifting team. We will discuss suitable contents, availability and the total price for your order.

Can corporate Christmas hampers go to multiple addresses?

Yes. We can plan delivery to a workplace or separate UK addresses. Tell us how many recipients are involved when requesting your quote. We will confirm the address requirements, delivery charges and dispatch arrangements. Explore our corporate Christmas hampers and enquire early.

Can corporate hampers include branding or personal messages?

Ask about branded gift cards, printed inserts and including your own merchandise. Available options, quantities, costs and lead times are agreed for your order. Tell our corporate gifting team about the messages, branding and dietary requirements you have in mind.

What information should I include in a corporate hamper enquiry?

Tell us the number of gifts, budget per hamper, preferred delivery date and whether delivery is to one location or multiple UK addresses. Please say whether your budget needs to include delivery and branding.

Include any dietary requirements, gift messages, printed inserts or merchandise you would like us to consider. Send a corporate gifting enquiry so we can confirm suitable options, availability, costs and lead times.

Help with an order

Can I change an order after placing it?

Contact our team as soon as possible with the order number and the change you need. We will check what is possible at its current stage. Changes to the contents, address or message cannot be promised once preparation or dispatch is under way.

What happens if an item in my hamper is unavailable?

If a hamper item is unavailable, we may replace it with a similar item of equal or greater value. If a substitution would significantly change your order, we will try to contact you first.

Please tell us about dietary requirements before ordering and check every product label on arrival, especially after a substitution. If you have a concern about a replacement, contact our team. See our terms and conditions for the full substitution policy.

What should I do if something arrives damaged, incorrect or missing?

Please contact our team with your order number and a description of the issue. If possible, include photographs of the affected item and packaging to help us investigate. We will review the problem and explain the appropriate next steps.

Can I return a hamper or request a refund?

Your rights depend on the products and the reason for the return. Some goods that spoil quickly are excluded from change-of-mind cancellation rights. This does not remove your rights when goods are faulty, damaged or not as described. Please contact our team so we can help with your order, and see our returns and refund policy.
